CDPHE is partnering with Carrier West to distribute free HEPA filter portable air cleaners and associated supplies to improve schools’ indoor air quality to lessen exposure to respiratory viruses as well as other pollutants and pathogens that contribute to asthma, allergies and other respiratory illnesses. The model of air cleaner used in the program was chosen because it is quiet and won't disrupt learning, uses about as much energy as a small lamp and requires only one filter change a year.
