Exhibit Hall is open Thursday, December 5 - Friday, December 6. Our Exhibitor Raffle is on Friday afternoon!

The Student Leadership Academy kicks off on Friday, December 6, and runs through the afternoon of Saturday, December 7. It is designed with the guidance of students, which promises to have more impact on your students.

The Saturday afternoon schedule creates time for board retreats after the morning General Session. We ask that you schedule retreats during this time.

CASB Annual Convention Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be made in writing and received no later than November 3, 2024, and will incur a $100.00 cancellation fee for the full Convention registration, a $50 cancellation fee for the Key People registration, and $20 cancellation fee for the Student Leadership Academy. Refunds will not be offered for cancellations after November 3, 2024. Cancellation refunds will be processed after December 11, 2024.

Refunds are not granted for failure to attend, late arrival, early departure, or medical emergencies. CASB is not responsible for state or district travel restrictions, medical or weather-related cancellations, or for hotel and/or other costs associated with the convention if the registrant is unable to attend.

In the event of a registrant cancellation, you have the opportunity to substitute that attendee with another district member.

Board Organizational Meeting Notice
Colorado's Open Meetings Law requires full and timely notice to the public when a quorum of the board is gathering and "public business is discussed or at which any formal action may be taken." C.R.S. 24-6-402.

If your board plans to hold a retreat or its organizational meeting, the meeting must be noticed, recorded, and open to the public as any other regular or special meeting.

One or more members of the [insert district name] board of education will be attending the Colorado Association of School Board's Annual Convention on December 5-7, 2024. The purpose of this event is for board members to engage in professional learning--it is not to conduct public business of the local district or engage in formal action. While notice is not required pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6-402, the Board believes in transparency and therefore is providing this information regarding the event.

The following are the parking prices at The Broadmoor during the convention:

$5 per half hour for event parking. $25 for all day event parking

Continuing Education Credit

Continuing Education Credit Hours may be obtained through attendance in breakout sessions during our 2024 Fall Conference and/or the 84th Annual Convention. Please use this form to document your attendance at the specific breakout session. All sessions and times need to be documented. You will receive a certificate of attendance upon receipt of your completed form.
