Utilize the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative Video

Welcome to CASB’s BuyBoard National Purchasing Cooperative Program (“BuyBoard”). Would you like to save time and money while purchasing the products and services school districts in Colorado use every day? Of course … which is why BuyBoard is for you!

What is BuyBoard?

Currently endorsed by CASB and eleven other state school board associations, BuyBoard is a comprehensive and well-established purchasing cooperative which can reduce costs on products and services your school district is purchasing today.

CASB membership entitles your school district to become a BuyBoard member for FREE! Once you sign up for BuyBoard – which takes just a few simple steps – your school district has the ability to make direct purchases from an approved list of vendors that have already gone through a competitive bidding process.

Contract Compliance

Procurement compliance is one of the great benefits of using the BuyBoard. Please remember that when using any BuyBoard contract a copy of your purchase order is needed within a reasonable time to document the purchase in the BuyBoard for your bid and audit compliance, plus tracking of overall spend. If the purchase is not documented in the BuyBoard it is not compliant with the contract.

“Per BuyBoard” should be on your PO to avoid confusion. BuyBoard also accepts vendor invoices that indicates the amount spent and for what product/service. If you do not utilize PO’s you can furnish a signed letter with the pertinent information.

You have the choice of sending the original purchase information to the BuyBoard to process or send the original to the vendor and a copy to the BuyBoard. If you send a copy of the PO, please mark it as “Record Only”. You can send in purchase information for orders as old as 90 days.

Please email purchase orders to the following: [email protected].

Other contracts that include PPE, thermal/temperature products, cleaning and sanitizer products and distance learning/technology products.

A significant benefit of BuyBoard is the opportunity to capitalize on the program’s volume discounts for product and services with the ease of online vendor and contract sourcing. Other benefits include:

Save Time

Contracts on BuyBoard have already undergone a competitive procurement process, which saves your district time and the cost of bid preparation. A unique feature of BuyBoard is the Request for Quote (RFQ) function, an electronic request that permits your district to select numerous vendors when submitting requests.

Power in Numbers

By combining the purchasing power of cooperative members, BuyBoard participants are able to leverage better pricing from vendors they may already use. The program also helps reduce administrative and resource time.

Purchase with Confidence

BuyBoard features many well-known vendors on its product list. The cooperative analyzes and makes award recommendations for products and services that have been submitted for competitive procurement. All awarded products and services are posted on BuyBoard’s secure website
