Update to major renovation definition

CDE has updated the threshold to define major renovation for foodservice operations when determining if it is allowable for the nonprofit food service account to cover the expense. Previously, major renovation was defined as $100,000 or 25% of building value, using the lower of the two values. Moving forward, major renovation is defined as $250,000 or 25%, using the lower of the two values.

CDE’s School Nutrition unit is in the process of updating the Capital Equipment Approval Tree to reflect this change.
