CASB Winter Legislation events are critical to advancing our advocacy work. Your participation helps amplify our collective voice and shape the priorities for the legislative session ahead.
CASB members play an important role in advocating for their students, schools and communities. As a locally elected school board member, you have a unique voice in shaping the future of public education. Join fellow CASB members from across Colorado for Member Day at the Capitol and help bring the voice of Colorado public education to the State Capitol.
Member Day at the Capitol is an opportunity to meet with your legislators, share how decisions made under the Gold Dome impact your local community and advocate for the priorities that matter most to your students and schools. Together, we can help ensure Colorado’s public schools have the resources they need to provide every student, regardless of where they live, the opportunity to succeed.
CASB members have a unique opportunity to bring students to the Colorado State Capitol to experience state government in action and see firsthand how decisions made by elected officials shape public education.
Student Day at the Capitol gives students the opportunity to speak directly with lawmakers, share their perspectives and learn more about the issues that impact their classrooms and communities. Student voice is an important part of the public education conversation, and as a locally elected school board member, you can help students connect what they learn in the classroom to the work happening under the Gold Dome.
