Buena Vista School District is located about 120 miles from Denver in the center of the Collegiate Peaks, known for its abundance of "fourteeners" (14,000 ft. or higher mountain peaks), white water rating, camping and other adventures for the outdoor enthusiast. During the last four years, the district has made significant progress in addressing two critical areas identified in it's strategic plan: to develop a PreK-12 and responsive to the needs of individual learners; and to create a district culture focused on learners and learning rather than on teaching.

Qualifications: listens, connects, responds and builds great relationships with staff, parents, community and businesses; is an open-minded person of integrity who values the input of others; promotes the district by being visible, approachable and involved in the community; leads the way in defining roles, responsibilities and communication protocols for the board, superintendent and administrators; is knowledgeable in school district governance including Policy Governance®; has strong organizational skills; provides superintendent leadership that positively impacts student performance; with past experience has demonstrated success in executing district strategies and achieving goals including success in finance elections involving grant processes, bond issues and Mil Levy increases; mobilizes the staff and community in pursuit of a common vision; educates themselves on the strengths of the district, supports what we are doing well, and is willing to lead positive change when and where needed; and possesses education leadership experience with superintendent or assistant level experience preferred.

Salary: The Board of Education is offering a salary range of $100,000–115,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package. Date of employment: July 1, 2014.

Pueblo’s strength is in its multi-cultural community. This diverse population includes a well-established Hispanic community that encompasses more than 40 percent of the population. The city lies 110 miles south of Denver at the crossroads of two major highways, Interstate 25 and U.S. Highway 50. The mountains are a short 35-minute drive to the north, south and west of the city. Several major ski resorts are within one to three hours of Pueblo. Pueblo City Schools serves approximately 18,000 students in 32 schools: 16 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 4 high schools, 3 K-8 schools, 2 Magnet schools and 2 charter schools. Our exemplary early childhood program includes Pre-K for three and four-year olds, and full-day kindergarten opportunities. In 2007, the district, in collaboration with more than 300 diverse volunteers from throughout the community, created the District Strategic Plan. Kremmling is located in northwestern Colorado, and offers a perfect blend of small town living, abundant recreational opportunities, and convenient access to big city amenities. We are an easy and scenic drive from several world-class resort areas like Steamboat Springs, Vail, Winter Park and Breckenridge, but still grounded in the traditions of our western ranching heritage. The school district is one of the largest employers in the area, making it that much more important to all members of our community. West Grand School District #1-Jt. enrolls approximately 440 students in grades K-12 with 37% qualifying for free and reduced lunch. The staff includes 38 teachers, 26 support staff and two administrators, for a total of 66 employees. It is governed by a seven-member board of education. The district has a full-time kindergarten, several specialized programs, technologically advanced facilities, and quality distance learning and dual-credit programs.

Qualifications: We seek a leader who: values input and is collaborative, open, and approachable; demonstrates excellent communication and facilitation skills; maintains high visibility in the schools and community; makes tough decisions with consistency and follows through; has a wide range of experience including teaching and administration in K-12 education; possesses strong instructional skills; exhibits enthusiasm and is a positive leader who is a team builder; sets realistic expectations to build a common vision and establish district goals; understands the use of technology and values blended instructional strategies; has a thorough understanding of school finance with experience in building budgets and obtaining grants; demonstrates sound organizational and management skills. In addition: Master’s degree or higher desired and Superintendent and/or administrative experience preferred.

Salary: The board of education is offering a minimum salary of $ 80,000-$100,000 as well as a competitive benefits package. Date of employment: July 1, 2014.

We have a population of 404 and are strongly tied to agriculture and ranching, which serves as the lifeblood of the community. The Frenchman School District is located in Logan County, approximately 2.5 hours from Denver and 30 minutes from Sterling on the Northeastern plains and encompasses 328.96 square miles. We are a diverse community with a lot to offer the outdoor enthusiast. Frenchman School District RE-3 serves 190 students Prek-12th grade. The Fleming district is consistently among the top-achieving school districts in Colorado for test scores, graduation rates, and student achievement. We show consistent growth and traditionally score above state averages. Our school also provides options for gifted and talented students as well as advanced and college-level courses through Northeastern Junior College in Sterling.
