Submit a Letter of Intent for the 2021-2022 Early Literacy Assessment Tool (ELAT) Project

Acadience Reading (formerly named DIBELS Next) from Amplify and ISIP Early Reading from Istation are early literacy assessment tools that teachers may use to obtain real-time assessments of K-3 students’ reading skill levels. Pending legislative approval, CDE will offer Acadience Reading and ISIP Early Reading through the ELAT Project for the 2021-22 school year. This is a non-competitive project.

The ELAT Project will require a letter of intent this fall for participation in the 2021-22 school year. The letter of intent process is open until Friday, Dec. 4. The received responses will inform our request for funding from the Joint Budget Committee. Districts that do not submit a letter of intent will not be considered in the application process.

The application process for the ELAT Project will open Monday, Jan. 4, and close Friday, Jan. 29.
