The Demont Award 

A program established to recognize those administrators who will “Leave it better than they found it” in districts of 1,500 or fewer students. 

Application Process

  • Step 1 – Secure a letter of nomination

{All letters should be addressed to: Selection Committee – The Demont Award, Salida School District R-32-J, 310 East 9th Street, Salida, CO  81201 

  • Step 2 – Complete the three (3) pages of the application form
  • Step 3 – Enclose three (3) letters of recommendation

{One letter from a staff member;

One letter from a current student;

One letter from a community member}

  • Step 4 – Forward all the materials to the address listed above

{Please do not bind the materials.}

Application Deadline – November 2nd    

     All materials must be received in the District Office by the close of business on or before November 2nd or Jim Wilson approving the materials arriving late). Applications/materials received after this date (without aforementioned notification) will be deemed as incomplete.
