A competitive grant will be available for districts to apply for funding to increase the quality of their mentoring program, train and compensate mentor teachers, and increase supports for teachers in their first three years.

This grant will serve as an opportunity for districts to build, enhance and strengthen mentoring programs to ensure beginning teachers have the support necessary to build instructional capacity and effectiveness in the classroom. The competitive grant will be awarded for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years. The application deadline is Monday, March 28. Applicants will be notified of final award status no later than Friday, May 13.

An application information webinar will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23.
