Stay Engaged with the Department of Early Childhood and Universal Preschool Planning Efforts!

The Early Childhood Leadership Commission recently approved the final recommendations to guide Colorado's voluntary, universal preschool program. This set of recommendations, as well as the Department of Early Childhood Transition Plan, were guided by an extensive planning and engagement process.

Moving forward, the Governor’s early childhood transition team will lead the stakeholder engagement and implementation planning efforts. All information about this process, including opportunities for continued stakeholder engagement, will be made available on the Department of Early Childhood’s interim website

The ECLC will continue to inform the community about opportunities to stay involved.  We remain committed to engaging with stakeholders and elevating a diverse set of voices from across the state. We will continue holding monthly Town Halls and hope that you will join us.

Save the Date: Our next monthly town hall will take place on Tuesday, February 8 at 5:30pm. Spanish language interpretation will be provided.

As this is our final communication on the transition planning process, we invite you to subscribe to the ECLC’s Our Voice monthly newsletter to stay up-to-date on the latest Colorado early childhood news and opportunities to stay engaged. Sign up here.

It has been an honor to guide the transition process up to this point, and we look forward to continuing to play a role, alongside all of you, to ensure all children, their families, and the early childhood professionals who support them are valued, healthy, and thriving.
