CLSD Literacy Consultant Advisory list
CDE is now accepting applications through the Colorado Comprehensive Literacy State Development (CLSD) program for literacy consultants interested in being on the CLSD Literacy Consultant Advisory list. For consultants currently or previously approved on another consultant advisory list such as ELG Implementation or READ Act, there will be an abbreviated application. The CLSD Literacy Consultant Advisory List RFA and Assurances form can be found on the CLSD webpage. The application window will remain open until Friday, July 30. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Teachers invited to apply for Commissioner's Teacher Cabinet positions
The Education Commissioner’s Teacher Cabinet seeks new members to share hands-on classroom experience while helping shape statewide education policy.
Selected teachers will join continuing cabinet members and meet four times a year to advise Colorado Education Commissioner Katy Anthes and share how education policies and rules created at the state level unfold in classrooms across the state. New members will serve for two years, beginning in October. The advisory group is made up of teachers from around the state, representing small, medium, large, rural, suburban and urban school systems.
To be considered, complete the application by Friday, Aug. 13. Additionally, applicants will need to submit a letter of interest, résumé, signatures and letters of recommendation to Stacey Macklin at the email below by the deadline.

Last chance to apply to be the 2022 Colorado Teacher of the Year
Every year, CDE selects one exceptionally dedicated, knowledgeable and skilled K-12 teacher as the Colorado Teacher of the Year to represent the entire profession for the state. The selected teacher will automatically become Colorado's nominee for the National Teacher of the Year competition.
The application deadline for the 2022 award is quickly approaching. If you were nominated to apply, we highly encourage you to apply by next Wednesday, July 14. However, you do not have to be nominated to apply.

Call for Nominations for the Colorado School Counselor Corps Grant Program Advisory Board
CDE seeks nominations for the School Counselor Corps Grant Advisory Board. Representatives are needed from, school districts, or individuals with expertise in elementary, middle, and high school counseling; Labor and Employment; student retention; counselor education; career planning. The SCCGP Advisory Board provides recommendations to CDE for the School Counselor Corps Grant program. Each member of the Board shall serve for a term of three years with the possibility of extending to a second term based upon the member’s eligibility.
