The resolutions approved by the CASB Delegates help to form the CASB’s advocacy efforts at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • The CASB Convention will be Dec 2-4 at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.

  • The June revenue forecast was released on Friday, June 18. State revenues have been growing more strongly than forecasted in March — the growth has been so strong that TABOR refunds will be required for the 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 budget years. The CASB Legislative Alert provides more details.
  • Delegate Assembly - the call for resolutions is now open and the deadline for submission this year is Friday, August 30th. There is a guidance document that provides additional information on the process.

  • CASB’s Built to Serve campaign is designed to help recruit school board candidates for this fall. Free webinars and resources are available on our website. There is also a form to recommend someone that you think would be a good candidate.
  • CDE's Learning Impacts Toolkit is a starting point for responding to the impacts of the pandemic. It contains great resources for school leaders as they plan for next year.
  • The Office for Civil Rights released a report, Education in a Pandemic: The Disparate Impacts of COVID-19 on America’s Students, touching on everything from learning loss to mental health consequences.

This mission of the Colorado Association of School Boards is to advance excellence in public education and equity for each and every student through effective leadership by the collective action of locally elected boards of education.
