Deadlines approaching for the 2021 CLDE awards applications

The Office of CLDE will not host the annual CLDE Academy due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19. However, CLDE will continue acknowledging and awarding winners of the Student Art Contest and Distinguished Administrator in Support of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learners.

Here are the categories:

• Distinguished Administrator in Support of Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Learners – Nominate a distinguished administrator who has created successful and innovative programs that supported the academic, linguistic, and social-emotional needs of culturally and linguistically diverse learners during these unique times. Administrator award applications will be accepted until Friday, March 12.

• Student Art Contest Theme: “I Am Resilient” — Nominate elementary, middle, or high school students for the “I Am Resilient” Student Art Award. We invite all Colorado students to explore the theme of resiliency as it relates to themselves, their families, friends, or wider community. This is an opportunity for students to highlight how they have been resilient through the medium of fine art (painting, drawing, photography, digital media, sculpture, pottery, etc.). Student art applications will be accepted until Friday, April 9.
