Updates from the State Emergency Operations Center
Sterilizing wipes to be delivered with mask shipments
In support of the State of Colorado’s ongoing efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and to assist in the mitigation of virus spread, the State Emergency Operations Center will begin shipping disposable sterilizing wipes at no cost to is districts, BOCES, charter schools, facility schools and private schools with their regular mask deliveries. The shipments will begin Monday, May 3, and continue until supplies are exhausted.
The Wipes Plus brand disinfecting wipes are hospital grade and highly effective against both viruses and bacteria when used as directed, including the virus that causes Covid-19. The wipes use a water-based formula that is safe to use on plastics, laminates, metals, Plexiglass screens and rubber surfaces. The wipes are comparable to Clorox disposable wipes. Each case of disinfectant wipes contains 12 packs; each pack contains 80 wipes.
Each district, BOCES, charter school, private school and facility school receiving regular mask shipments will receive a shipment of six cases of wipes, beginning the week of May 3, 2021.
Further shipments will be sent the first week of every month, until supplies are exhausted, to the contact currently used for the School Mask Program.
Shipments can be adjusted in one of two ways:
- Educational Institutions can opt out of the program entirely, and receive no shipment
- Educational Institutions can request additional cases be sent on a monthly basis. Additional cases will be allocated in multiples of six only.
Shipments can be adjusted or discontinued by sending an email to [email protected]. Questions about the program can be sent to the same email address.
