UIP feedback available for plans submitted for January 15 deadline
CDE has reviewed and provided feedback on plans for identified schools and districts (i.e., Performance Watch, ESSA Comprehensive Support) who submitted UIPs for the Jan. 15 deadline. Feedback based on the UIP Quality Criteria Rubric, including program specific requirements is available through the UIP Online System in the Collaboration Tab. Early Learning & School Readiness
READ Act 2021 professional development reviewers needed
The CDE P-3 office is seeking volunteer reviewers to take part in the process of review for topic-specific professional development aligned to the READ Act. Reviews will be conducted remotely and involve a combination of synchronous (live) and asynchronous (self-paced) work time.
The application for volunteer reviewers can be found here. The deadline to submit the application is Monday, April 5.
Initial reviews will take place from May 3 - June 4. Reimbursement and authorization for credit hours for participation will not be provided for this volunteer opportunity.

Collaboration for K, co-hosted with the REL Central
Collaboration for K returns with discussions focused on learning and development during school disruptions. The next session will be co-hosted with the REL Central. During this session, we will interpret the recently released State of K report, engage in open discussion on data trends, and provide guidance on using data during the pandemic and to advance equity.

Focus groups to discuss transition to kindergarten practices, policies, and needs
The National P-3 Center, in collaboration with CDE and the Office of Early Childhood in Colorado Department of Human Services, is recruiting school district leaders and administrators to participate in focus groups. Participants should include those who are responsible for implementing transition to kindergarten policies and practices. This project is supported by the Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five Initiative from the Office of Child Care, Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The goal is to better understand school district opportunities, challenges, and needs related to the transition to kindergarten.
The focus groups will be conducted the week of March 29 and stakeholders who are explicitly responsible for kindergarten are encouraged to participate.

Two seats on the Facility Schools Board of Education are open for applications. A list of requirements can be found on the main page of the Office of Facility Schools website at the link below. The deadline for all applications to be received by the Office of Facility Schools is Friday, April 2.

Colorado's IDEA Part B application for FFY 2021
CDE is making available for public review and comment the State of Colorado's Part B Application for grant funding under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act for federal fiscal year 2021.

Family Partnerships
Submit a Promising Partnership Practice
The State Advisory Council for Parent Involvement in Education (SACPIE), in collaboration with CDE, is collecting promising partnership practices to publish in the sixth annual Promising Partnership Practices Colorado book. SACPIE and CDE invite schools, districts, early childhood centers, institutions of higher education, accountability committees, parent-teacher committees, or any other school- or district-based council to submit an application for consideration in the publication. The purpose of this book is for schools, districts, and other educational organizations in Colorado to share how they partner with families and the community for student success. Submissions are due May 31.

Register for the Pandemic-Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) 2020-21 webinar
Attend one of the upcoming P-EBT webinars, which provide an overview of P-EBT issuance, showcases outreach materials, and describes the required student issuance data process. Both webinars will be recorded and cover the same information. Register for 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, from or for 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 1.
