Focus groups to discuss transition to kindergarten practices, policies, and needs

The National P-3 Center, in collaboration with CDE and the Office of Early Childhood in Colorado Department of Human Services, is recruiting school district leaders and administrators to participate in focus groups. Participants should include those who are responsible for implementing transition to kindergarten policies and practices. This project is supported by the Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five Initiative from the Office of Child Care, Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The goal is to better understand school district opportunities, challenges, and needs related to the transition to kindergarten.

The focus groups will be conducted the week of March 29 and stakeholders who are explicitly responsible for kindergarten are encouraged to participate.
