Members needed for Committee of Practitioners

Members needed for Committee of Practitioners

The Committee of Practitioners  is a critical stakeholder group for CDE's Federal Programs with a primary purpose of advising CDE regarding its implementation of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, reauthorized as the Every Student Succeeds Act. The CoP operates to identify issues across regions of the state and facilitate two-way communication between CDE and the preK-12 education community throughout Colorado.

The membership of the committee includes representatives from local education agencies, non-public schools, and charter schools. Members include school and district administrators, teachers, parents, and members of local school boards. Committee members serve for an initial three-year term with the opportunity to extend membership beyond the initial term. A minimum of four meetings will be held per year.
