Community Engagement Toolkit
Engaging the community is a key role of the school board. How else can the board assure that it represents the community it was elected to serve…the “owners” of the school district?
By engaging its community, the board can:
- better understand the values that shape public opinion on school district issues,
- get insight to help shape the board’s vision and direction for the school district, and
- gain partners in solving district problems and supporting student achievement.
Find tools here to help you understand community engagement and to plan and execute a community engagement program for your school district.
