80th Annual CASB Convention Call for Presentations

 Essential Guidelines for Presentations

CASB's Call for Presentations is now closed.
Thank you for submitting your proposals for this year's convention!

Stay tuned for our 2021 81st Annual CASB Convention Call for Presentations next spring.

The best proposals:

  • Honor the governance role of boards of education. Please familiarize yourself with the roles and responsibilities of school board members. You can find a good amount of information at casb.org or in a google search.
  • Include the voice of school board members. Partner with a school district that has experience with your session topic and ask them to co-present with you. We rarely choose session proposals that do not include a school board member or superintendent.
  • Allow and manage time for participant interaction and understanding. Explain how you will incorporate opportunities for engagement and discussion.
  • Selling is not allowed. School board members come to the conference to learn and network. If you wish to develop a relationship with board members, we have sponsorship and exhibit opportunities available.
  • All presenters are required to register if they choose to attend the convention. As a thank you for presenting, CASB will provides a discount of $150 off of the full convention registration fee. Registration allows entry into general sessions, meals, and breakout sessions. If presenters choose not to attend the convention, they do not need to register.

Partners, sponsors, and exhibitors are required to co-present with a school district board of education member and/or superintendent.

CASB does not pay honorariums or stipends to presenters. CASB does not arrange or pay for transportation or hotel accommodations.

Our school boards represent small and large districts, urban, suburban and rural districts.
