Resources for 2013 Elections

CASB congratulates returning incumbents and new school board members who were successful in their local races. CASB thanks you for your service to the children and communities of Colorado and looks forward to working with you throughout your school board journey.

To help your board tackle its post-election responsibilities, including swearing in new board members and electing school board officers, CASB introduces a new resource: CASB’s Board Organizational Meeting Guide, a benefit of CASB membership. The Guide has everything you need to run the board’s organizational meeting:
  • sample meeting notice
  • step by step instructions for conducting officer elections
  • information on reporting candidate election results to CDE (districts holding ballot issue elections can complete their CDE ballot issue reporting form here)
  • sample confidentiality affidavit for each board member to sign during the organizational meeting (now required by law)
Finally, don't forget to update your member information with CASB. You can submit your board's updated information here.

For answers to more of your post-election questions, please contact Beth Friel at 303-832-1000.
