School Finance and Constitutional Reform
Year after year, school districts have been forced to cut their budgets. Now, a number of efforts are underway to change school finance in Colorado – the Lobato Lawsuit, a TABOR Lawsuit, Initiative 25 and more. Learn about all of these issues on our School Finance webpage.
Race to the Top & Stimulus Information
As part of the economic stimulus package, President Barack Obama began the Race to the Top program. The effort pushed states and schools to think about and implement reform in exchange for grant funding. Colorado barely missed the first round, but another chance was announced in May 2011. Keep up-to-date at CASB’s Race to the Top page.
