CASB Fall 2010 Regional Meetings
An Evening of Information and Discussion for Board Members and Superintendents
Colorado voters will be asked three important ballot questions in November that could change the face of education and public services as we know them today. If passed, Amendments 60 and 61 and Proposition 101 would have dramatic consequences for school districts and other tax supported units in Colorado. Our evening discussion will include the latest on 60, 61 and 101 and how communities can raise awareness.
Other change is on the way that could significantly impact the role of the school board. CASB staff will help prepare school leaders for the implementation of the Education Accountability Act (SB 09-163) that changes how schools and districts are accredited. We’ll also update you on results of the educator effectiveness law (SB 10-191) and state content standards.
Networking with other school board members and superintendents in the region is an opportunity to share and learn. It’s a great investment of your limited time and resources.
