Leading a school district in our complicated world is no easy task. The realities of education leadership are daunting. Compliance with federal and state laws and regulations; litigation; special education; new education reforms. Often, it comes down to a matter of law.

What are your legal responsibilities as a school leader? That’s the focus of this year’s CASB Fall Conference. Whether you’re a board member, superintendent or other school leader, our presentation line up will help provide a legal foundation for your leadership challenges.
  • General Session: University of Colorado law professor Al Canner will set the stage with a school law primer that both veteran and newbies will find fun, interesting and thought-provoking.
  • Breakout Sessions: Nine breakout sessions will give participants plenty of variety to choose from. From open meetings law to medical marijuana to board member ethics, each session will cover a topic of importance to school leaders.
  • Closing General Session: Wrap up your day of learning with comments from CASB leaders about important issues that affect the future of education in Colorado.
