2012 CASB Winter Conference
The Winter Conference was a great success!
Early Bird Sessions for new board members, rural school districts and board presidents were presented. Throughout the rest of the day, attendees gained knowledge about bullying tactics, literacy legislations, Lobato, SB 191, student performance data, lobbying help, and tapping information from CASB's Federal Relations Network and the State Board of Education. Congressman David Skaggs delivered a keynote address and Lt. Gov. Joe Garcia outlined his priorities for education.
More than 150 CAB members attended the all-day Thursday session Feb. 16th in Denver. Some people delighted in the Capitol tour and later listened in on house and senate legislation with other attendees on Friday.
Next year's conference will again be presented at The Brown Palace to help you keep abreast of legislation issues. Other information will be posted as it becomes available.
