Colorado Council of School Board Attorneys

The Colorado Council of School Board Attorneys is a membership organization for attorneys who represent local boards of education in Colorado. The purpose of the Council is to promote the exchange of legal information and analysis to members on current school law issues, conduct continuing legal education seminars and provide a state forum and information clearinghouse for the benefit of school attorneys. The Colorado Council is affiliated with the NSBA Council of School Attorneys. Kathy Shannon, CASB Director of Member Legal Resources and Policy Counsel, serves as secretary-treasurer to the Council and coordinates Council seminars and other activities.

Colorado Coalition for Hispanic Education

The Colorado Coalition of Hispanic School Board Members strives to assure that the educational needs of all students in the state of Colorado are fully addressed and that Hispanic/Latino students have their educational needs effectively addressed.

Colorado School Finance Project

Colorado School Finance Project provides unified and quality leadership on issues related to school funding in Colorado. Members include the Colorado Association of School Boards, the Colorado Association of School Executives, the Colorado Education Association and The Colorado BOCES Association.

Colorado Organization of Superintendents' Assistants

The Colorado Organization of Superintendents' Assistants provides the opportunity for superintendent and board assistants to meet and gain knowledge to support them as they navigate through the challenges in their unique job. COSA offers a member-to-member network, quarterly meetings and educational retreats.

Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA)

Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) is the governing body for all high school activities throughout the state of Colorado. It was founded in 1921, and currently has a membership of 328 full-time high schools, plus more than 50 middle and junior high schools, for a total of almost 400 schools. The schools hold events for sixteen different sports for both boys and girls, plus competitions in music, sportsmanship, student council, and spirit.
